Renovation of a water / sewer project in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Roof restorations and replacements including all labor, equipment, and materials to complete the work in accordance with specifications. Bids shall be submitted in accordance with the specifications. All bids must be plainly marked on the outside of the envelope with the words "Bid for 2026 Water Treatment Plant Roof Improvements." Each bid over $50,000 must be accompanied by either: (1) a certified check, cashier's check, or draft for 5% of the total gross bid; (2) a bid bond for 10% of the bid; or (3) an irrevocable letter of credit for 100% of the bid from an acceptable financing agency. The bid security shall be payable without condition to the City of Aberdeen. The bid security may be retained and forfeited as liquidated damages if the bid is accepted and the contract is not entered into within ten days. Contracts over $50,000 require a Payment Bond and a Performance Bond for 100% of the contract. No bid may be withdrawn within thirty days after the bid opening. The Aberdeen City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive irregularities, and accept the bid it deems most favorable and in the best interest of the City after all bids have been examined.
