The Virginia Department of Transportation is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide Hydraulic Cement Concrete (Ready Mix Concrete) from VDOT approved plants on an on-call, as-needed basis to various work locations/routes in Amelia, Powhatan, and Chesterfield Counties of the Richmond District/Chesterfield Residency. The contractor shall furnish and deliver ready mix concrete according to VDOT specifications, ensure delivery from VDOT-approved plants, comply with all OSHA and VOSH standards, and have the capacity for multiple, timely deliveries to various locations as requested by VDOT. Deliveries must be made according to directions, within required timeframes, and as specified in purchase orders issued by VDOT. All fees and incidentals must be included in bid prices. No work is generally permitted on weekends or State holidays without written permission from VDOT. Bidders must include specific forms and documentation with their submissions, and follow all instructions as detailed in the solicitation.
