Sealed proposals from General Contractors are requested for Phase II Renovations at Thomas Crossroads Elementary School, 3530 GA-34, Sharpsburg, GA 30277. Proposals must be competitive and sealed. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting at the school is required for eligibility to submit a proposal. Competitive Sealed Proposals will be opened and scored by a Review Committee. Proposal forms and construction documents can be examined at the architect's office or accessed online by request. No deposits or refunds are provided for documents. Questions about the contract documents must be submitted in writing to the Architect, and clarifications will be issued as addenda to all proposers. Proposals must include the completed Competitive Sealed Proposal Form, signed Bid Form, Bid Bond, “Contractor Affidavit and Agreement” for compliance with Georgia's security and immigration laws, and affidavits for lawful presence verification. A bid bond of 5% of the base bid is required with the submission, and performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract sum are required before construction commences. Only bonds from sureties licensed in Georgia and listed on the Federal Register are acceptable. The owner reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals.
