The work consists of activities including, but not limited to: environmental protection, erosion control, and fisheries protection measures; species-at-risk and bird nesting prevention installation, maintenance, and removal; review and implementation of DFO Measures to Avoid Harm; preparation and submission of environmental protection plans; control and dewatering of waterways, including the design, construction, and maintenance of temporary waterway controls and dewatering systems; coordination and protection of existing utilities; clearing, grubbing, tree removals, and disposal of excess materials; demolition, removal, and disposal of culvert elements and structures; salvage and delivery of specific truss and plaque; design, construction, maintenance, monitoring, and removal of temporary protection systems; excavation, backfill, and on-site and excess soils management; construction of concrete curb, gutter, and crack repair; placement of reinforcing steel; supply and installation of steel beam guide rails, energy attenuators, and detectable warning plates; installation and restoration of pavement markings; supply and placement of hot-mix asphalt, tack coat, aggregates, and subdrains; supply and placement of topsoil and sod; maintenance, troubleshooting, and implementation of traffic control and portable temporary traffic signals; and compliance with all relevant OPSS and associated environmental, safety, and quality assurance standards.
