The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is requesting quotations for the provision of annual hanging baskets and annual bedding plants for a two-year period, with an option to extend the contract for one additional year at the discretion of the Municipality. Responsibilities for the successful respondent include providing all plants, materials (such as soil and fertilizer), and related costs, using a high-quality growing medium, supplying Proven Winner®, Ball Seed® brands, or high-quality equivalents for hanging basket plants (with no substitutions without prior approval), providing a detailed work plan and schedule, delivering regular updates of bedding plant progress (including pictures or approved formats), and permitting scheduled and unscheduled visits by municipal representatives to the growing location. Each year, a Municipal contact will reach out to the successful respondent to quote for the annual quantities required for bedding plants and hanging baskets, with rates to be in accordance with the pricing conditions specified in the RFQ. The contract may be awarded to both a primary and secondary provider, with the primary provider receiving first opportunity for all work and the secondary provider to be called if the primary cannot fulfill the requirements. Pricing should be all-inclusive except for GST and must be quoted in Canadian funds, including all labour, equipment, material, insurance, installation, and overhead costs. Delivery costs must be quoted separately. All rates must remain firm for twelve months after contract execution, with annual price adjustments subject to negotiation and not to exceed inflation as indicated by Statistics Canada.
