The one covered by this call for tenders is the Village sector WWTP, and the one covered by option 1 is the Rivière-Verte sector WWTP. The Town therefore wishes to identify simple, effective and economical solutions to increase wastewater treatment capacity, particularly to support residential expansion. The text refers mainly to the Village WWTP, but although the Rivière-Verte WWTP is optional, the specifications also apply to this location in addition to the site. At the Village sector WWTP, the process in place includes two aerated ponds operated in parallel, whose effluents are directed to a third pond subdivided into three cells by separating curtains and operated in series. The Rivière-Verte sector WWTP is similar aerated ponds, with two ponds in series, both having internal separations by separator curtains.
