Site work for a water / sewer project in Killingly, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sealed bids are requested for supplying labor, equipment, and services required for the project involving a prefabricated electrical control panel, GBT. Bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid site walk in order to be eligible to submit a proposal. Contractors who do not attend the site walk will not be permitted to bid. All bidders must inform themselves fully of the conditions relating to supplying the specified equipment, construction, and labor. The contractor should employ methods and means that will not cause interruption or interference with any other contractor. A surety company bid bond for 10% of the bid amount or a certified check made out to the Town is required with each proposal. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and technical defects, and to award a contract, if at all, to the lowest responsible and qualified bidder as determined by the Town in its sole discretion. Scope of Services Drawings ofthe existing and proposed configurations are attached to this RFP. A.3 Documentation and Reporting The Contractor shall maintain detailed records of all project activities and provide regular updates to the Town’s Engineer, or their designee. Requirements include: The selected Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment, materials (except the prefabricated control panel), and incidentals necessary to complete the following work items: The purpose ofthis Scope ofWork is to define the requirements and responsibilities for the safe, reliable, compliant delivery, and installation ofproduct to designated Town facilities. • Receive and inspect the Town-supplied prefabricated control panel. • Remove existing control panel and disconnect associated wiring and conduits as required. • Prepare mounting base and install the new control panel per manufacturer’s specifications. • Connect all power, signal, and control wiring between the panel and existing field devices. • Modify or replace conduits and fittings as necessary for compatibility. • Ground and bond per NEC requirements. • Coordinate with Town personnel for inspections and integrator for SCADA tie-ins. • Schedule with integrator to be onsite, performing start-up, testing, and verification of proper operation. • Provide as-built drawings and final documentation upon completion.
