Site work for a civil project in Waskom, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Bids are invited for the following work: approximately 3,290 linear feet of water main with related appurtenances, approximately 1,919 linear feet of sewer main with related appurtenances, and approximately 5,590 square yards of pulvermix, cement treatment, and 2-inch asphalt overlay street reconstruction. Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, are on file at civcastusa.com. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid for contracts exceeding $100,000; a certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Waskom or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Not less than the federally determined prevailing wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. The successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. The City of Waskom reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Waskom for up to 60 days from the date of the bid opening for review and investigation of the bidder's qualifications prior to contract award. All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation in federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity under this project. The project is also subject to the Build America Buy America Act, requiring all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in infrastructure projects to be produced in the United States. Each request for clarification shall be made in writing to the Grant Recipient or engineer no less than seven (7) days prior to the bid opening.
