The Work of this project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services and incidentals; and of performing all work necessary to complete all specified work in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared therefore and entitled 2025 AND 2026 Paving Project #23355CF. This project is classified as a roadway paving project, including county and municipal owned roadways, in addition to a sidewalk project with handicap requirements and markings. The work generally consists of reclaiming, resurfacing public roadways and installation of a sidewalk within the public road right-of-way. This project is classified as a roadway improvement project and safety project, involving materials, equipment, handwork and construction knowledge. The project scope is improvement by cement stabilization, asphaltic concrete and installation of Portland cement-based concrete. The project area is contained within existing publicly maintained roadways and right-of-way. The contractor is responsible for all safety, utility locations and traffic control associated with the project. 1.2. Completion time for the project will be 365 calendar days as set forth in the Agreement. 1.3. The Gold Hill realignment with US 21 has an interim completion date of June 30, 2026. There is an elementary school on Gold Hill Road opening for the 2026/2027 school year and the realignment must be complete before the school opens.
