The work involves the supply and delivery of two carbide bit grading systems (Infinity 2000 Carbide Bit Grading System or approved equivalent). Respondents proposing equipment other than the specified system must submit complete specifications for the proposed equivalent product, including all relevant technical details, dimensions, and any available shop drawings. One grading system must be delivered to the Tilbury East Operations Division at 4394 Middle Line, Merlin ON, and the other to the Ridgetown Operations Division at 13337 Reeders Line, Ridgetown ON. Delivery to alternate locations may be negotiated if necessary, but all deliveries will occur within the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. Delivery earlier than the specified date is acceptable and will be coordinated with the successful respondent. Incomplete submissions may be deemed non-compliant. All work must be performed in strict accordance with the required specifications and documents listed. Electronic response submissions are required through the Municipal Bidding System. Suppliers must register an account and submit all required schedules and fields online. Hard-copy submissions are not accepted. Bidders should allow sufficient time to upload their response and resolve any issues prior to the closing date and time. Responses will be evaluated using 100% price as the determining criteria. Suppliers must ensure all items are bid on and submissions are complete. The Municipality reserves the right to accept or reject any responses, seek clarifications, and consider additional information such as supplier experience, safety records, and staff qualifications. All applicable insurance, certifications, and compliance with regulations are required. Subcontractors must be named and approved. Alternative or green products may be submitted for consideration if they meet minimum specifications and receive prior approval by addendum. Late proposals are not permitted.
