Renovation of an educational facility in Long Beach, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

This project consists of alterations to twelve (12) existing buildings at the liberal arts campus for the purpose of an access control system upgrade. The scope of work consists of installing door access control systems, complete with lockdown buttons, at designated entry points. These systems will be interconnected with the nearest intermediate distribution frame room, integrating them with the district security system. Furthermore, the project includes the installation of mass notification devices to bolster emergency communication capabilities. At the time bids are submitted, each bidder shall possess a valid california contractor license b and belden, genetec, synergis & coring certification for the division 27 and 28 installer, by the contractor or one of its subcontractors, and must maintain the license(s) throughout the duration of the project. All designated subcontractors will also be required to have current and active cslb licenses at the time of submission of the bid and throughout the duration of the project. A bid bond in an amount not less than 10% of your bid amount must be submitted along with your bid submission. Electronic and hard copy submission is required. Pursuant to labor code 1725.5. Each contractor and all subcontractors identified in a contractor's subcontractors' list, submitting a proposal to complete the work, labor, materials and/or services must be a department of industrial relations registered contractor. A bidder who is not a dir registered contractor when submitting a proposal forthe work is deemed "Not qualified" and the proposal of such a bidder will be rejected for non-responsiveness. Information regarding the dir can be found at online. Prevailing wage monitoring & enforcement: pursuant to california labor code 1771.4(a)(4) the work is subject to payment of prevailing wage rates. Every contractor and all subcontractors of every tier, performing any portion of the work,shall pay laborers not less than the prevailing wage rate established for the labor provided. Prevailing wage monitoring and enforcement shall be by the department of industrial relations. Prevailing wage determination can be found at online.
