The work includes the construction of approximately 20,688 linear feet of 12-inch waterline, 1,396 linear feet of 6-inch waterline, valves, hydrants, services, fittings, and appurtenances along Badin Lake Road, Hwy. 49, and Klopman Mill Road in Davidson County and Uwharrie Point Parkway and Badin Shores Circle in Montgomery County. Bids must be submitted in accordance with the Bidding Documents. Bidders must be licensed contractors in North Carolina for the required work, and bids will be received on a unit price basis. Work must commence within 15 days after the contract date with completion as required by the contract documents. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond. Each bid must include a bid security amounting to 5 percent of the total bid. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days of the bid opening date. The owner reserves the right to select alternatives, reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional bids. Small businesses, minority owned businesses, women owned businesses, and businesses owned by low and moderate-income persons are encouraged to bid. QA date - 2-3-2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
