Renovation of a day care center in Carmel Valley, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a day care center.
Renovation of existing space to restrooms. Bidders are required to possess a valid State of California contractor's license (B) and be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations. Bids must be submitted on the form provided and must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price as a guarantee. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit are required for all bidders. The successful bidder must provide a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond, and may substitute securities for monies withheld by the District for performance assurance. All workers must be paid not less than the prevailing wage rates as determined by the Department of Industrial Relations. The District will award the contract to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on the base bid amount only and reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any irregularity. Questions received less than SEVEN (7) calendar days prior to the date for opening bids may not be answered.
