The work involves the installation of two cross pipes with headwall/endwall, road base improvement and reshaping to establish proper crown, and the delivery, placement, and compaction of a Driving Surface Aggregate pre-approved by the Center for Dirt and Gravel Road Studies. All work must be performed according to the Dirt, Gravel and Low Volume Road Maintenance Project Work Plan and all relevant Technical Bulletins. The placement of Driving Surface Aggregate is to be completed with a track motorized paver in a single pass 18 feet wide over approximately 800 linear feet at a depth of 8 inches, with compaction done using a minimum 10-ton vibratory roller, all in line with current PA State Conservation Commission standards. Material, delivery, placement, and compaction must meet the approved standards and specifications. Bids must be prepared using the Prevailing Wage Project Rates from the Bureau of Labor Law Compliance Project Serial Number 23-04173. The successful contractor is required to comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and its regulations, and include these requirements in all subcontracts. Proposals must use the supplied bid documents and include a bid bond of 10%. The awarded contractor must execute an agreement and provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each for 100% of the bid amount, within fifteen days of the Notice of Award. The township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder.
