The virginia department of transportation herein referred to as "Vdot" is soliciting bids from interested firms to perform unplanned/on-call tree removal services and cut stump in accordance of the performance specifications herein, in the richmond district along highway rights-of-way within goochland, hanover, henrico, charles city and new kent counties. One year from date of award with four (4), one (1) year renewal options. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be submitted in writing to nasir.Chhipa@vdot.Virginia.Gov no later than 5 business days, prior to the closing date. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Any bid in response to this solicitation shall be valid for sixty (60) days. At the end of the sixty (60) days the bid may be withdrawn at the written request of the bidder. If the bid is not withdrawn at that time it remains in effect until an award is made or the solicitation is canceled. The provisions of laws requiring the payment of a prevailing minimum wage rate are incorporated in and expressly made a part of this contract. The contractor and the contractor's subcontractors shall pay wages, salaries, benefits, and other remuneration to any mechanic, laborer, or worker employed, retained, or otherwise hired to perform services in connection with the contract at a rate at least equal to the prevailing wage rates determined by the virginia commissioner of labor and industry for work to be performed under this contract, as outlined in attachment-h. The wage determination establishes the rates that must be paid for the entire term of the contract. Event bid open notes : the bid opening will begin promptly at the time indicated. At the start of the conference the vdot representative will conduct a roll call to identify the individuals participating on the call. Participants will be requested to provide their names, company and contact information during the roll call. The provisions of 2.2-4342 of the code of virginia, as amended, shall be applicable to the inspection of bids received.
