The City of Bridgeport, WV, is seeking Statements of Qualifications from qualified engineering firms showcasing the firm’s qualifications, technical expertise, management and staffing capabilities, references, and related prior experience. Professional services required include, but are not limited to, planning, preliminary engineering, design and construction-related services, preparation of bidding and contract documents, participation in bid evaluations, and monitoring and inspection of construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications for the Downtown Green Space and Lakes Park Enhancement Projects. The Green Space Project involves designing a compact parking area for safe access to businesses, including green space features to enhance downtown’s appearance. The Lakes Park Enhancement Project requires evaluation and redesign of the existing shelter area to improve function, aesthetics, accessibility, and circulation while integrating landscaping and complementary design elements. Engineering firms must submit five copies each of the Letter of Interest, Statement of Qualifications, Technical Experience, Expertise of Staff, Persons in Charge of the Project, Previous Professional Experience, and References. Technical qualifications and experience will be heavily weighted in the selection process. A minimum of three firms may be invited for interviews based on the evaluation of statements of qualifications, and the most qualified candidate will be asked to submit a fee proposal.
