Description

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Negaunee, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; for paving for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.

The project consists of approximately 0.57 miles of road rehabilitation in conjunction with 522 feet of sanitary sewer replacement on 3 streets throughout the city. The work will include sanitary sewer, subbase, gravel, HMA base crushing and shaping, HMA paving, sidewalk, sidewalk ramps, slope restoration, and traffic control. Contractors must clearly mark 'BID ENCLOSED: 2026 Street and Sewer Project' and their name and address on the outside envelope of their sealed bid. Bids must be mailed or hand-delivered; email or fax bids will not be accepted. No bid will be received unless accompanied by a certified check or satisfactory bid bond payable to the owner in an amount no less than five percent of the maximum bid. If accepted, the bidder must execute and file the contract, performance and payment bonds, and insurance certification as required within fifteen days after the notice of award, and the bid may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the bid deadline.
