Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Lexington, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The project is a new construction building on the University of Kentucky main campus. The building will contain teaching and research laboratories for the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environment. The building will also have Offices, Conference Rooms, a Vivarium, an Auditorium, and Rooftop Greenhouses. The building will have a concrete structure from level 1 to level 3, with steel frame construction from level 3 up. TC-045 Final Site Hardscapes and Softscapes - This package includes grading, sidewalks, final course asphalt, topsoil, landscaping, SOD, light utility work, and site furnishings. TC-046 - Signage - Interior building signage including room identification, wayfinding, and directories. TC-047 - Final Cleaning - Interior and exterior construction and final cleaning of the building. Contractor shall reach Substantial Completion as described below: Substantial Completion - AG Research Lvls 1-3, Rooftop Greenhouse 18-Nov-26 Substantial Completion - Auditorium, Lvl 4 offices 14-Dec-26 All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder as a condition of the contract. All bonding and insurance requirements are contained in the Instruction to Bidders, General Conditions and Special Conditions. Should any of these references disagree, the Special Conditions prevail. The University of Kentucky, Construction Procurement Section, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all formalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the University may be served.
