TIMELINE: Request for Qualifications is underway seeking to prequalify experienced and qualified Engineering Consultants (firms or individuals) to provide project management services, acting as the Owner's Representative, to lead the planning, design development, and successful delivery of Engineering projects within Maple Ridge, BC. The successful proponent will manage the entire project lifecycle from initiation to close-out. Responsibilities include developing a Project Charter, preparing RFP documents for design services, participating in contract preparation, coordinating and leading meetings with consultants and City stakeholders, developing schedules and budgets, overseeing the design and construction process, maintaining project documentation, managing change, and providing monthly reports. Additional deliverables include preparing a Project Management Plan and regular update reports with risk registers and deficiency tracking. The consultant is expected to oversee and manage the consultant team, monitor compliance with project goals, track project billing, and ensure proper handover of records and documentation. Construction phase tasks involve coordinating contractor tendering, monitoring construction progress, change management, and final project close-out, including warranty review and deficiency resolution. Responses must clearly identify the firm, describe relevant municipal project management experience, and provide references from recent projects, with a minimum score specified for consideration. Submissions are to be made through the City's online Bidding System according to provided requirements and instructions, and all electronic files must be PDF, free from corruption, and properly submitted by the closing date and time. The consultant is responsible for all labor, tools, and equipment, compliance with City policies and applicable laws, and must provide and maintain specified insurance coverages, business license, and police information checks for personnel.
