Description

Site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 0-square-foot, 0-story below grade, one-unit multi-residential development.

The City of Winnipeg is seeking experienced and capable parties to purchase one or more city-owned residential lots at $1 per lot and develop affordable housing on each parcel. Each property must have at least one residential unit, with a minimum of one unit per site required to be affordable for at least 20 years. Building permits for each lot must be secured by December 31, 2027, with preference given to those able to secure full permits by December 4, 2026. Projects that exceed the minimum affordability criteria, deliver a higher number of units, or address priorities such as accessible housing, housing with supports, housing for older adults, transitional and supportive housing for victims of gender-based violence, and rental housing for larger households will be prioritized. Respondents are responsible for financing, constructing, and operating the housing, or partnering with an operator for the affordable housing component.
