Site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Asheville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and for the renovation of a parking garage.
For furnishing labor, materials, equipment and tools for the Asheville Municipal Building. Project consists of the demolition and replacement of an elevated apparatus bay slab. Offices and rooms located below the slab will be demolished to facilitate the slab replacement. The reconstruction of these spaces is included in project scope. A portion of the building will remain occupied; occupant located within construction area will need a new office built out prior to start of slab demolition. This build out is included in project scope. Blum Construction has a long-standing commitment to maximize minority and other HUB participation on all our projects, and we recognize the importance the City of Asheville places on minority and HUB participation. There is an established 8.38% Black and Hispanic MWBE participation goal on this project. Historically underutilized and minority business participation is strongly encouraged. If MWBE subcontractors require assistance with bonding or payment terms, please let us know. Blum Construction has the ability to create custom solutions to support a successful project outcome. Examples of Trade Partner Support include quick pay arrangements, modified insurance limits, bonding access or alternative bonding solutions, joint check agreements, prequalification assistance, disaggregation of bid packages, alternate options for financial statements prequalification requirements, break out of materials and equipment to support cash flow.
