Demolition for a detention facility in Mound City, Kansas. Completed plans call for the demolition of a detention facility.
Linn County is requesting proposals for the demolition and removal of the former County Jail located at 104 South 4th street, Mound City, Kansas 66056. The bidder should bid to remove all of the structure, including the building, the foundation, the footings, entrances (sidewalks and driveways to the building only), air conditioning units, utilities, and level the ground with black dirt. The bidder is responsible for all safety measures, including fencing, barricades, cones, and/or signage during the project. The bidder is responsible for having utilities removed or physically removing them. Work must be done between 9am and 5pm daily. The county will waive dump fees for materials that can be dumped at the county landfill, provided the bidder or subcontractor transports them to the landfill. All bids should be sealed and marked 'Building Removal Bid' on the outside of the packet.
