Renovation of a municipal facility in Saint John, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Project No: 25-CR-004, Rehabilitation of 312 North Main Street, St. John, Kansas. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and Federal prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3 of the 1968 Housing Act, Segregated Facility, Section 109 of the 1984 Housing and Community Development Act and Executive Order 11246, and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Sealed bids for the project will be received by the City Clerk at the specified address until the stated deadline, and then publicly opened and read aloud. Any person with a disability requiring special accommodations must contact the City of St. John no later than 7 days prior to the bid opening. All bid documents may be examined at the City of St. John. Access to Plans and Specifications is available by contacting the architect. Each Bidder shall include a Bid Bond payable to the City of St. John in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid. A certified check in lieu of Bid Bond is acceptable. Attendance is required for a mandatory pre-bid meeting at the project site. Contractors will be advised by addendum if this date changes. It shall be the Owner's right to cash any Bidder's bond if, after being selected and awarded the contract, the Bidder refuses or fails to sign the contract and furnish the required Bonds and Certificates of Insurance. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept any bid, and to waive any formalities. Faxed or emailed modifications will be considered if received before the stated time for opening bids. Contractors shall base their Proposals only upon items in the Drawings, Specifications, and Addenda. Do not write substitute proposals into the Form of Proposal. Each Bidder's Proposal shall include a sum sufficient to cover the cost of Statutory, Performance, and Labor and Material Bonds. Contractor shall guarantee Bids for 30 calendar days after Bid Opening. Note - As per Addendum 1 Pre-Bid Meeting 01/30/2026 at 1:00 PM
