The intent is to obtain competitive sealed bids from qualified vendors to renovate and improve turf, grading, and irrigation on Fields 1-7 and Field 9 to meet playable standards for baseball/softball activities using 419 Bermuda sod and laser-graded infield mix. The contractor is to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services required. General work includes removing and hauling away existing turf or infield grass, loosening subgrade and laser grading, assessing and repairing (or installing) irrigation systems, installing specified 419 Bermuda sod, straightening outfield edges as noted, installing and laser grading infield mix, and top dressing the newly installed sod. Each field has a specific scope based on these general tasks. Bids must be submitted either by mail, common carrier, or delivered in person, or electronically through the County's eProcurement Portal. Bids must be sealed and delivered by the stated deadline. Each bid must include one unbound original, one bound copy, and one digital PDF copy on a USB drive. All bids must be legible, signed, and have all changes/corrections initialed. Descriptive literature must have firm name on all sheets. Bidders must review the Submittal Checklist and include the required documents in the specified order. Bidders must provide a Social Security or Federal Employer Identification number and a completed W9. Failure to comply with these instructions may result in disqualification. Install specified square footage of 419 Bermuda sod. Straighten outfield edges where noted. Install and laser grade appropriate tonnage of infield mix. Top dress newly installed sod with specified tonnage of material to promote healthy rooting and field consistency.
