British Columbia Ferry Services Inc. (“BC Ferries”) provides all major passenger and vehicle ferry services for coastal and island communities in the Province of British Columbia. The purpose of this Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is to invite qualified proponents (the “Proponents”) to submit proposals (the “Proposals”) for the replacement of three underground electrical feeds at the BC Ferries Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal. The electrical feeds to be replaced are: The Terminal Maintenance Trades Building Electrical Feed; The Berth 2 Electrical Feed; and The Public Parkade Electrical Feed. The scope of work for the Project involves replacing three underground electrical feeds at the BC Ferries Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal. This includes provision of all related equipment, materials, safety provisions, project management, and other support activities. The scope is more particularly set out in Schedule “A” – Scope of Work (the “Scope of Work”). The general requirements of the Scope of Work include: Site inspection and confirmation of cable routing and lengths. Removal of the three existing underground electrical feeds. Cleaning all conduits, junction boxes, underground vaults, and other relevant cable conveyance infrastructure. Supply, install and terminate the new electrical feeds including all conductor cables, including ground cables and neutral cables, as specified. The Contractor shall not procure any materials without the Owner's prior written approval. Any materials procured without such approval shall be at the Contractor's sole risk and expense. Provision of temporary power for the Public Parkade and infrastructure powered by the parkade.
