The project involves the construction of paving various town streets in the Town of Fowler, Benton County, Indiana. The work may consist of milling, cleaning, tack coat, surface and binder courses throughout the town. The proposal to be submitted shall include sufficient and proper sums for all general construction, mechanical installation, labor, materials, permits, licenses, insurance, and other items incidental to and required for the construction of the facilities. Each bidder is responsible for inspecting the project sites and for being thoroughly familiar with the contract documents and specifications. The contractor awarded the work will be required to furnish performance, maintenance, and payment bonds in an amount equal to the bid price, and certificates of all insurance required in the specifications. All bonds and liability insurance shall remain in effect for a period of twelve months following completion and acceptance of construction. Instructions to bidders include submitting proposals in a sealed envelope marked as specified, properly and completely executed on proposal forms included in the specifications, and including all information requested by Indiana Form 96 (Revised 2010), including a financial statement. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guaranty conforming to the Indiana Revised Code, either as a certified check or bond for five percent of the bid. No bid may be withdrawn for at least 90 days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The owner reserves the right to reject any bid if the bidder is not properly qualified to perform the work. A conditional or qualified bid will not be accepted. Award will be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. The successful bidder must begin construction within ten days of receiving the Notice to Proceed and complete the project pursuant to the contract documents.
