Site work and paving for a road / highway in Columbus, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

The City of Columbus, Department of Public Service is seeking professional services for evaluating select corridors or neighborhood streets for new designs to address mobility demands. Tasks may include traffic analysis, bikeway planning, transit considerations, pedestrian infrastructure, parking analysis, placemaking and public art, and other services as needed to complete a study. Some corridors may require assistance with planning a pilot or quick build implementation to promote a new design before the full design is adopted. Proposals must be submitted electronically via Bonfire. All proposal documents will be available on Bonfire after the RFP is advertised. Firms must meet the mandatory requirements stated in the RFP for a proposal to be considered. Vendors must register on the Vendor Services portal and be contract compliant to do business with the City of Columbus. Minority or Women Business Enterprise certification is available. The evaluation criteria include location of lead offeror, project manager, project team, past performance, and understanding of project/project approach. A debriefing session is available to unsuccessful respondents upon request. Questions deadline: 1/29/26 at 11:30 PM. All questions concerning the RFP are to be sent to capitalprojects@columbus.gov. With each task assigned under this General Engineering/Task Order contract, a task-specific Scope of Services and associated fee for services will be agreed to by the City and the Consultant prior to proceeding. The following are examples of types of services that may be called for as part of a given evaluation: 2.1 Public Engagement This task requires the development of a Public Engagement Plan for assigned task orders, conducting public engagement, and attending regular coordination meetings with the City. The intent of public engagement is to inform the goals and purpose of projects by involving the public in the decision-making process and ensuring that projects align with community needs.
