Invitation To Bid to businesses authorized in the State of Arkansas and qualified to provide the requested services outlined: Installation of heavy-duty gate, heavy-duty interior fencing, poles, and all ancillary services for the purposes of securing the Little Rock Zoo's Rhino Barn. Scope references the installation of new gates and ancillary hardware. Two (2) - 50" tall X 47" wide gates with horizontal bars spaced at 32" and 50" from the bottom of the gate. The gate leftward from the inside shall have a 4" wide stop with a drop pin made of 1" round rod. See gate drawings. Gates shall made from 2 1/2 " schedule 40 square tubing. Two (2) new hinges per gate shall be branded "SHUTIT BADASS ORIGINAL HINGES Model # C13000". There will be two posts 4" square schedule 40 steel post plated on ground anchor to the concrete then to the metal header the gates will hinge off them post at 5" off the floor. Two (2) slide bolts per gate; slide bolts shall be made with 1" round rod and pipe and flat plate with a locking hole for pad lock at the rear of the slide. Placement shall be on the 32" and 50" horizontal bars. All metal shall be painted with rust preventative and painted with Sherwin Williams direct to metal oil-based paint. Branded "SW BRZ3 Chestnut Bronze". Contractors shall arrive to work-site for proper field measurements at the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting on 01/21/2026 at 10AM. South Side: Demolition of existing poles and panels with gates. Scope consists of cutting and removing the concrete - 18" wide. Thereafter, removal of existing poles. Re-work the footing to 4' depth. Mandatory removal and hauling by vendor: All old concrete, dirt, metal poles, panels and any related miscellaneous scrap or hardware, as approved by Zoo staff. Replacements shall be five (5) new 12'X4" square schedule 40 steel posts. New footing must be poured to meet the existing concrete floor; shall be slick finished, poles must be filled with concrete. Vendor must mound to the top and shall finish smoothed. Refer to drawings for spacing and height of the new posts. Replace three (3) panels. All panels shall have vertical bars and be made from 2 1/2 " schedule 40 steel tubing. Panels shall be 4" off of the floor. Refer to drawings for spacing and height of the new panels. Replace two (2) gates. All gates shall have vertical bars and be made from 2 1/2 " schedule 40 steel tubing. Gates shall be 4" off the floor. Hinges shall be branded "SHUTIT BADASS ORIGINAL HINGES Model # C13000". Refer to drawings for spacing and height of the new gates. Gates 4 and 5 will need to match up and lock to the existing angle iron that is attached to the wall. Panel 1: shall be 66" wide X 6'tall with 6 vertical bars spaced at 9 3/4 " inside dimension. Panel 2: shall be 74" wide X 6'tall with 7 vertical bars spaced at 9 3/4 " inside dimension. Panel 3: shall be 70" wide X 6'tall with 6 vertical bars spaced at 9 3/4 " inside dimension. Gate 4: shall be 37" wide X 52" tall with 3 vertical bars spaced at 7 1/2 " inside dimension. Gate 5: shall be 37" wide X 52" tall with 3 vertical bars spaced at 7 1/2 " inside dimension. All metal shall be painted with rust preventative and painted with Sherwin Williams direct to metal oil-based paint. Branded "SW BRZ3 Chestnut Bronze". Slide bolts shall be made with 1" round rod and pipe and 3/8" flat plate with a locking hole for pad lock at the rear of the slide. There shall be a 4"X4"X3/8" angle iron the width of the gate mounted on the rock wall for a gate stop. The slide bolts shall slide behind the angle to lock. Angle shall be mounted to the rock wall with 5- 1/2 " X 2 1/2 " drive in wedge concrete; anchors set in concrete epoxy. All metal that was replaced shall be painted with rust preeventative and painted with Sherwin Williams direct to metal oil-based paint. Branded "SW BRZ3 Chestnut Bronze".
