The City of Maple Ridge is seeking to prequalify and shortlist consultants to provide various climate change consulting services. Shortlisted firms will be invited to submit proposals for consulting services related to climate change and sustainability within Maple Ridge, BC. Requirements for consultants include experience with climate science and projections, climate risk and vulnerability assessment, climate adaptation and resilience planning, climate policy, regulation and standards, climate data modeling and analytics, and stakeholder engagement and communications. Types of projects may include developing corporate climate change action plans, climate risk assessment and mitigation planning, incorporating climate adaptation and mitigation into projects and asset management, quantifying climate impacts and emissions, integrating climate considerations into planning, and program and incentive design with a focus on resiliency. Interested firms must submit a response via the City’s online Bidding System, addressing firm information, relevant project experience, team qualifications, use of sub-consultants, resources, and relevant reporting examples. Responses scoring a minimum of 80 out of 100 will be considered. Firms must be registered with the Bidding System to participate, and all submissions must follow stated electronic procedures. Respondents are responsible for ensuring submissions are received before the closing time and for managing any necessary changes or addenda to their submission. All communications must go through the Bidding System, and questions are encouraged prior to the stated deadline for enquiries. The City reserves the right to make changes, cancel, or re-advertise the opportunity at its discretion.
