Description

Site work for a transportation facility in Calgary, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

Redevelopment of the Whitehorn Station Area. The project will focus on the existing park and ride facility located west of Whitehorn Station, approximately 7.5 km from downtown Calgary. The site has operated since 1985 and includes a light rail transit (LRT) station, a bus transfer loop, and park and ride facilities on the west side of 36 Street NE. The desired outcome is to prepare the site for redevelopment while maintaining Calgary Transit operations and delivering high-quality, functional streetscapes and public spaces that enhance quality of life for current and future residents. TIMELINE: The owner is currently looking to engage a qualified consulting firm to provide planning, design, and construction administration services. Schedules for design, tender and construction may be confirmed by mid-2026, pending award of contract. *Budget for engineering services is $785,000.
