Ground Maintenance Services are required for the St. Louis VA Medical Center Jefferson Barracks campus, a 126.65-acre facility. The contractor shall cut, trim, and maintain all grass; remove weeds, dead trees, shrubs, limbs, and debris; clear freshly cut grass from roads and sidewalks; fertilize grass twice per year; and pick up and dispose of fallen leaves. Additional responsibilities include cleaning exterior concrete surfaces to remove dirt, debris, trash, nests, and other foreign matter, as well as keeping roads, sidewalks, and parking lots free of debris. The contractor must provide and maintain all necessary ground equipment, order chemicals, fertilizer, mulch, grass seed, and other landscaping supplies, and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and required records for chemical use and licensing. Certification for applying pesticides and herbicides is required, and all employees must have completed an OSHA 10-hour construction safety course. Work will be suspended during December, January, and February when grass cutting is not needed. Location: St. Louis VA Medical Center - Jefferson Barracks, 1 Jefferson Barracks Dr., St. Louis, MO 63125. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
