The project consists of the removal of all existing buildings, with the exception of the existing School House. The work includes construction of a new Administration Building, a new Multi-Purpose/Food Service Building, and six new Classroom Buildings. The project also includes alterations and improvements to the existing School House, along with miscellaneous site improvements. The project is being bid in Bid Packages, which include survey, existing conditions, concrete, structural steel, rough and finish carpentry, architectural wood casework, sheet metal and roofing, doors/frames/hardware, glazing, various finishes, tile, flooring, painting, miscellaneous specialties, food service equipment, fire suppression, plumbing and site utilities, HVAC, electrical/communications/electronic safety & security, earthwork, asphalt paving, and landscape & irrigation. Pre-qualification requirements: General Contractors and “MEP” Subcontractors of any tier (contractors holding C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, or C-46 licenses) must be prequalified with the District. Prequalification must be submitted more than ten business days prior to the bid due date and approved at least five business days before the bid due date. All bidders must also be prequalified with Balfour Beatty Construction, LLC for any bid in excess of $500,000. Approvals are valid for 12 months and must be renewed annually. All subcontractors must comply with general prevailing wage rates and be registered with the DIR. Contractors and subcontractors must use a "Skilled and Trained Workforce" as defined in Public Contract Code section 2601(d).
