Sealed bids are requested for a multi-prime construction project (General Construction, Electrical Construction, Plumbing Construction, and Mechanical (HVAC) Construction) for a 14,542 SF new building, portions of which will remain unfinished, located at 1022 Philadelphia Ave., Northern Cambria, PA. Bidders must submit a 10% bid bond, certified check, bank draft, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond from an acceptable surety as part of their bid. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after the bid opening. The successful bidder must provide Performance and Payment Bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price, on specified forms and executed by an acceptable surety. All work is to be performed under the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. The project is also subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA), requiring all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials to be produced in the United States unless a waiver is approved. The HOPE FIRE COMPANY reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities. Award criteria and basis for rejection will follow the Instructions to Bidders in the contract and technical documents. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
