Project is no longer needed.** Foundation Piers for White Rock Substation Questions Due Date: Feb 12th 2026, 2:00 PM MST Questions must be submitted through the County's Procurement Portal. Any questions must be received in writing at least five (5) business days prior to the submission due date, unless otherwise stated herein or in an addendum. The summary of work is as follows, but is not limited to the following: A total of five (5) piers needed at the White Rock Substation. All piers will require a caisson to be used due to very loose soil. All piers can be safely drilled without risk of overhead energized conductors. A utility employee will be required to be on-site during all work to ensure clearance from energized equipment. Pier 1 will be a 36" diameter pier a depth of 10 feet. Piers 2, 3, 4, & 5 will be drilled at a depth of 21 feet below a pit that will be 48" below the existing surface. These piers will be a diameter of 48" and approximately 10 feet apart. The logistics of access will require Pier 1 to be drilled first. At the completion of Pier 1, the drilling rig must be moved so that the containment pit can be dug for drilling Piers 2-5. Los Alamos County is receptive to suggestions to improve the logistics of the work. Additional documentation can be accessed through the link below
