Sealed bids are requested for the Hazelden Estate Renovation. Work will be performed under one unified contract. Construction shall be in full accord with drawings and specifications. Bids must be submitted on the provided forms and executed in accordance with Indiana Board of Accounts Form No. 96 (current revision), including a financial statement compliant with Section III, Supplemental Bid Form, and a satisfactory bid bond or certified check for at least five percent of the total price payable to Newton County Commissioners. Bids must be delivered in a sealed envelope labeled with the bidder's name and address and addressed to the Newton County Commissioners, Hazelden Estate Restoration, Attn: Public Bid. Late bids will be returned unopened. Bidders may obtain procurement documents for a deposit per set, refundable upon timely return in good condition, and additional sets may be purchased at non-refundable printing costs. Electronic media (PDF) of the drawings and specifications is available for a non-refundable fee. The successful bidder must provide an approved one hundred percent performance bond and a one hundred percent labor and materials payment bond. Bonds shall remain in effect for twelve months from work acceptance. The contract will include a non-discrimination provision. Substitutions for specified materials may be offered if approved in writing in advance, complying with instructions to bidders. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and waive informalities or errors in bidding for sixty days after opening. A pre-bid meeting and tour is scheduled at the Hazelden Estate. Procurement documents may be examined at designated locations.
