The City of Atchison invites interested and qualified parties to submit qualifications and proposals of rates for plumbing services. Plumbing services required shall be on an "as needed" basis. Typically, requested services include plumbing work for which the City lacks the resources and/or expertise to complete. The selected contractor must be able to track and invoice its services to each department of the City and differentiate labor, equipment, and material costs on each invoice. Bidders are expected to conform to the parameters of this request and must explain any exceptions in a separate attachment. Proposals must include one original using the provided forms and any necessary attachments, be submitted in a clear and legible manner, and be sealed and properly addressed. Proposals must be signed by an authorized agent. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and may require competitive bids for certain projects or hire non-contracted firms when necessary. Sales tax is not to be included in proposal rates or invoices. Questions may be directed to the Public Works Manager. The City reserves the right to communicate with bidders for clarification or request additional information after bid opening. Plumbing services will be awarded on an "as needed" basis for various projects, tasks, repairs, and consultations, and pricing will be effective for the designated contract period with potential for extension by mutual agreement.
