The Town of Trumbull will accept sealed bids for a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program for hazardous waste days in Trumbull, CT. The collection program will serve only residents of the Town of Trumbull, with no participation from residents of other municipalities. The event will be a special one-day collection at Indian Ledge Park in Trumbull, CT. The Town will accept household hazardous waste generated from residential sources only. The awarded provider will be required to operate the event(s) according to federal and state regulations for large quantity handlers of universal waste. Any household hazardous waste generated from municipal sources must be managed according to applicable state regulations. Bids must be submitted using all the required forms, including one original and one exact copy, and should be prepared in a clear, concise, and legible manner. No oral, email, telephonic, or faxed bids will be considered. Bids are to be submitted in a sealed envelope as specified. The bidder must be authorized to contractually bind their organization. Bids must be received before the advertised deadline. The Town reserves rights regarding bid acceptance and may reject any or all bids, waive formalities, and request new bids if necessary. Bidders must outline in a separate letter if their proposal does not meet all requirements; otherwise, the bid will be presumed to meet all specifications. Substitutions are not permitted. All purchases are tax exempt. Inquiries may be addressed as directed in the instructions, and it is the bidder's responsibility to verify addendum notices.
