Renovation of an educational facility in Ackerman, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Repairs and renovations to an existing metal building roof system on the Ty Cobb Building at Choctaw County High School, in Ackerman, MS. Scope includes replacing gutters and fascia on the main gym/auditorium roof, replacing roof penetration flashings on all roof penetrations, and replacing any existing roof screws. Bidders must submit sealed lump sum bids in compliance with the provided instructions, either by delivering a marked and addressed envelope to Choctaw County School District or submitting electronically through the specified website. Proposals must be submitted in duplicate using the provided forms and accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bid bond equal to at least five percent (5%) of the base bid amount, to be forfeited as liquidated damages by any bidder who fails to execute the contract and required bonds. Bid security must accompany each bid, and no bids may be withdrawn for 90 days after opening. Bidders must be properly licensed and able to obtain necessary insurance and bonds. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive informalities and irregularities. The successful bidder shall begin work upon receipt of Notice to Proceed and complete work by the stated date, with liquidated damages applicable for delay. Contractor/Subcontractor Question/Answer Period: It is noted that questions will be received and answered on an unofficial basis. Binding answers to questions must be included in an official written addendum and the Contractor or Subcontractor is encouraged to provide written communications to the Architect for proper response.
