Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

Work will include site work demolition, cast-in-place concrete, foundations, and footings, composite wood boardwalk construction, shelter installation, playground and fitness equipment installation, netted backstop installation, earthwork and grading, asphalt paving, concrete paving, chain link fencing, site furnishings, engineered wood fiber play surfacing, landscaping, turf seeding, native seeding, segmental retaining wall reconstruction, and storm sewerage and underdrainage. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the contractor's name and address, and "Bid- Centennial Park." All bidders are required to submit bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of 10% of the base bid, payable to the Arlington Heights Park District. The successful bidder is required to pay prevailing wage for work under this contract and submit certified payroll records in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The contractor(s) selected will also be required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, and executive orders, including but not limited to those pertaining to equal employment opportunities. Minority business firms and contractors complying with the Illinois Apprenticeship Initiative are encouraged to submit bids on this project. The successful contract bidder is encouraged to utilize minority businesses and those complying with the Illinois Apprenticeship Initiative as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction. The Arlington Heights Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Arlington Heights Park District.
