The scope of work consists of the supply and delivery of two (2) 2.5-ton dual rear wheel (DRW) dump trucks to support municipal operations within the Transportation and Public Works division. These vehicles will be used for transporting and handling aggregates, debris, and other materials related to year-round infrastructure maintenance, road repair, and public works activities. Each unit must have a dual rear wheel chassis, a steel dump body, and a hydraulic hoist system, designed for safe and efficient operation in both urban and rural environments. Detailed specifications are provided in the Vehicle Specification Checklist and Vehicle Information, Warranty and Delivery Terms documents, which must be completed and submitted with the bid. All specifications are minimum requirements with a ±5% tolerance. Upon delivery, documentation required includes a parts book, recommended spare parts list, service/shop manuals, operator’s manual, complete parts list, parts price list, and service manual (unless a local Halifax dealer maintains a current parts price list). Electronic versions of all documents are preferred whenever available. A Motor Vehicle Inspection (MVI) must be completed prior to delivery and dated within the same month as the delivery. Delivery is DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) to the specified location, with all costs and risks covered by the supplier. Equipment must be shipped to 150 Thornhill Drive, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and delivery by driving or towing is prohibited unless authorized in writing. Delivery does not constitute acceptance; HRM will inspect assets within seven business days to confirm compliance with specifications. The contract is subject to the Supplier Code of Conduct, excluding living wage requirements due to the nature of the services.
