Boiler and HVAC Upgrades for DPS Exam Sites (Mult. A. The work will be done under one prime contract that includes: General, Mechanical, Demolition, Remediations, Excavation, Civil, and Electrical construction. B. The following summary is a general guide to the scope of work. It should not be construed as a detailed list of work included in the contract. 1. Work at the DPS Arden Hills facility includes hydronic boiler replacement, plumbing fixture repairs/replacement, water heater replacement, exhaust fan replacement, cooling system replacement, and other modifications to the mechanical systems as shown. 2. Work at the DPS Eagan facility includes hydronic boiler replacement, plumbing fixture repairs/replacement, water heater replacement, exhaust fan replacement, cooling system replacement, and other modifications to the mechanical systems as shown. 3. Work at the DPS Plymouth facility includes hydronic boiler replacement, plumbing fixture repairs/replacement, water heater replacement, exhaust fan replacement, air handler replacement, and other modifications to the mechanical systems as shown. DESCRIPTION OF ALTERNATES Alternate 1: As part of alternate #1, the existing boilers, boiler flues, expansion tank, air separator, and filter/feeder, and hydronic pumps at the Arden Hills site will be replaced. Alternate 2: As part of alternate #2, the existing air handlers, return fans, refrigerant piping, and condensing units at the Arden Hills site will be replaced. This solicitation includes qualification requirements. Attachment C of the Response Form contains the qualification requirements for the solicitation. Qualification requirements include, but are not limited to: Responding company has completed as a Prime Contractor (not as a subcontractor) the work for at least three (3) contracts which have achieved Substantial Completion since January 1, 2020 for construction of HVAC system installation and/or replacement. Each of these contracts MUST have had a construction value of $500,000.00 or greater. Project Manager and Job Superintendent listed each has had at least five (5) years of experience with HVAC system installation and/or replacement similar in scope and value to this project. Each of these contracts must have had a construction value of $500,000.00 or greater. This Project has a 10% Targeted Group, Economically Disadvantaged, Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (TG/ED/VO) subcontracting goal. The TG/ED/VO subcontracting goal will not be a consideration in determining the lowest responsible Prime Contractor. This solicitation includes required insurance as recommended for the project's specifications and scope of work. It is highly encouraged potential responders review Section 00 73 16 Insurance Requirements, as well as AIA A201, Article 11 of the project manual in the solicitation before submitting a response.
