Demolition, site work and renovation of a civil project in Cloverdale, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

The project includes two divisions of work. Division A generally includes replacement of filter media within two existing horizontal pressure filters at the water treatment facility, replacement of the existing Sodium Hydroxide tank (which requires removal and replacement of an exterior CMU wall), replacement of Chemical Feed equipment for the existing Chlorine Gas disinfection system, repair to the conic section of the steel Catalytic Reactor vessel, demolition of equipment and abandonment of the Booster Pump Station, and connection of existing waterlines to bypass the Booster Pump Station. Associated site restoration, including drive repair, sidewalk repair, and seeding, is included. Division B generally includes installation of approximately 950 lineal feet of new 10-inch water main along E CR 900 S, including crossing under US-231 via horizontal directional drill, and approximately 25 lineal feet of new 6-inch water main along Robert Weist Avenue to bypass the existing booster station. Work also includes all associated valves, hydrants, and site restoration. Bids must include all general construction, mechanical installation, labor, materials, permits, licenses, and insurance required for the construction. Contractors or Sub-Contractors awarded work in excess of $300,000 must be on the Indiana Department of Administration pre-qualified list. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the title of the Project, the name and address of the Bidder, and the Division of work. Bids must be submitted on the bid forms in the Contract Documents and Specifications, and each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond in a sum of not less than five percent of the total amount of the highest aggregate bid. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price are required. No bid may be withdrawn for at least ninety days after the scheduled closing. Bidders must submit a written plan for an employee drug testing program. Wage rates shall not be less than the Federal wage scale. Minority/Women Business Participation requirements must be met, with a state goal of 10% participation for minority and female owned businesses. Additional requirements include compliance with specified federal and state laws and regulations, and adherence to Buy America, Build America provisions for materials used in the project. Award will be made to the low, responsive, responsible bidder, subject to approval by the Indiana Office of Community & Rural Affairs and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, and must not be debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from federally assisted programs.
