Parking Lots and Ramps 2026 Surface Lot Maintenance 1) Project consists of annual maintenance and repair work of parking lots throughout campus. The repairs will include full depth asphalt patching, partial depth asphalt patching, asphalt crack routing and sealing, asphalt seal coating, full depth concrete patching, concrete crack and joint rout and seal, concrete grinding, concrete curb repair, and pavement marking. 2) Alternates: None. 3) Allowances: Allowances shall include the costs of materials, supplies and equipment delivered to the Worksite, less applicable trade discounts and including requisite taxes, and unloading and handling at the Worksite, unless specifically stated otherwise. The Constructor's Overhead and profit for the allowances shall be included in the Contract Price, but not in the allowances. The Contract Price shall be adjusted by Change Order to reflect the actual costs when they are greater than or less than the allowances. Allowance 1: Overexcavation of Unstable Subgrade Material and Replacement with Geogrid and 6" Modified Subbase - Contractor shall include an allowance in the Contract Sum (Base Bid) in the amount of Five thousand dollars ($5,000) for excavation and removal of unstable subgrade to the depth shown on the plans, disposal of unsuitable material, installation of geogrid reinforcement, and placement and compaction of 6 inches of modified subbase in accordance with the specifications. Allowance 2: Overexcavation of Unstable Subgrade Material that includes Fly Ash Contaminated Soils and Replacement with Geogrid and 6" Modified Subbase - Contractor shall include an allowance in the Contract Sum (Base Bid) in the amount of Five thousand dollars ($5,000) for excavation and removal of unstable subgrade consisting of fly ash- contaminated soils, transportation and disposal of the excavated materials at the Benton County Landfill in Blairstown, Iowa, installation of geogrid reinforcement, and placement and compaction of 6 inches of modified subbase in accordance with the specifications.
