Addition to an industrial development in Lower Swatara Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the addition of a industrial development.
Lower Swatara Township is requesting bids for construction of an addition to the existing Salt Shed for the Public Works Department. The project consists of expanding storage capacity, integrating with the current structure, and implementing environmental and safety upgrades to support winter road maintenance and improve operational reliability. Bids must include bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond not less than 10%. All questions about the bidding documents must be submitted via PennBID; telephone inquiries are unacceptable. Bidders must comply with all state antibid-rigging regulations and submit a non-collusion affidavit. Provisions of federal and state statutes regarding prevention of environmental pollution and preservation of public natural resources apply. Bidders must also utilize the Federal Government's E-Verify system for employment verification and submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act applies to this project. All bids shall be irrevocable for 60 days after the bid opening date. The Township reserves the right to waive defects, accept any bid or combination of bids in its best interest, and to reject any or all proposals.
