The proposed construction consists of various improvements in the Influent Pump Station at the City of Sycamore Wastewater Treatment Plant. These improvements include rehabilitation of the existing mechanical screen and washer/compactor, installation of a new mechanical screen and washer/compactor, removal and replacement of four influent slide gates, removal and replacement of the potable/non-potable water system (including service sink and electric water heater), removal and replacement of the HVAC system, removal and replacement of the lighting system, replacement of two interior doors and one exterior door, installation of a new autosampler system, removal and replacement of the 800 kW diesel generator (Alternate 1), painting of the building interior, and other miscellaneous items of work. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check or bank draft payable to the City of Sycamore for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder Instructions. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference of all prospective Bidders and/or their representatives will be held at Sycamore Public Works. Bidders are required to attend and participate in the conference. The Council reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities. Unless the Bids are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder.
