Replace the Martinez DI system to RO includes design-build construction services to replace the Building 19 second-floor Sterile Processing Service De-Ionized water filtration system with a new Reverse Osmosis water system. Work includes demolition of the existing DI system, replacement of associated water piping, and full commissioning of the new RO system to support the Sterile Processing Department. The contractor must provide all architect-engineer design services, investigations, materials, equipment, supervision, and construction period services. Design work must comply with all current Veterans Affairs Design Guides, VA Master Specifications, the International Building Code, National Fire Protection Association standards, OSHA requirements, the VA Plumbing Design Manual, and VA Health Directive 1061 for protection against healthcare-associated Legionella disease. The contractor must deliver complete construction drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations and provide all labor, tools, and materials required to perform the construction in accordance with the documents and Davis-Bacon requirements. The effort includes a full design sequence with required VA reviews at the 25%, 35%, 65%, 75%, 100%, and final document stages, followed by construction submittals, demolition, installation, commissioning, and final punch list completion within 179 consecutive calendar days.
