Description: This project, located in Harford County, is for the reconstruction of the intersection of MD 136 and MD 543. MD 543 (S Fountain Green Road / Creswell Road) and MD 136 (Calvary Road) intersect in Creswell, Maryland approximately two miles northwest of Interstate 95 (John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway) in Harford County. MD 543 generally runs northwest - southeast between Belcamp, MD and northern Bel Air, MD. MD 136 runs generally north-south between Abingdon, MD and Churchville, MD All locations for this contract will be identified after the project is awarded. Each task will indicate the scope, limits of work, the estimated quantities, and completion duration limits. The work will consist of the following: (a) Roadway Grinding and Resurfacing (b) Roadway Widening (c) Raised Slip Ramp Medians (d) Curb/Gutter (e) Drainage Improvements, including SWM (f) Signing, Pavement Markings and Signals (h) Bike/ADA Compatibility (i) Utility Relocations (j) Right of Way Acquisitions, Easements and Entry Agreements Pre-Bid Conference: A Pre-Bid Conference has not been scheduled for this Project Classification: F - $5,000,001 to $10,000,000 In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00 The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
