The scope of work includes maintenance dredging of approximately 450,000 cubic yards from the Brazos Island Harbor (BIH) Entrance and Jetty Channels, with five projected options. Schedule No. 1 consists of hopper dredging the BIH Entrance Channel from station -13+000 to station -6+000 (estimated 125,000 CY) and the BIH Jetty Channel from station -6+000 to 0+000 (estimated 225,000 CY). The primary placement area for dredged material is Near Shore Feeder Berm 1A/1B. Options 1-3 involve sea turtle trawling for 15 days each, with no additional contract time. Option 4 provides for beach placement at two locations on South Padre Island instead of the Near Shore Feeder Berm, adding 14 calendar days to the contract duration if awarded. Option 5 includes an additional 15 days of sea turtle trawling with no added time. All dredging and beach placement activities are subject to environmental windows for swimming and nesting sea turtles. The entire project must be completed within 120 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, with an additional 14 days if Option 4 is exercised.
