Remodeling of a mixed-use development in Oglesby, Illinois. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 116,215-square-foot educational facility; and educational facility.
As of February 13, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on February 19, 2026. Bids are requested for Lighting System Upgrades at Lincoln Elementary School and Washington Jr. High School. The work consists of interior and exterior lighting replacement and associated lighting controls at the two schools, along with additional work as indicated. The contract will be a single prime lump sum contract. Bidders must submit a bid security of not less than five percent of the base bid amount, either as a certified or cashier's check or a bid bond. The successful bidder must provide satisfactory performance bond and labor & material payment bond covering the full performance of the contract, and must include the cost of these bonds in the bid. The bidder must ensure all persons employed or applying for employment are not discriminated against based on race, creed, color, sex, age, or national origin. Documentation of participation in Department of Labor-approved apprenticeship and training programs is required. Compliance with all relevant Illinois State acts-including those on wage rates, discrimination, sexual harassment, alcohol use, preference to Illinois workmen, fair employment practices, equal employment opportunity, and substance abuse prevention-is mandatory. Prevailing wage rates must be paid, and bonds must guarantee performance of the prevailing wage clause. A criminal background investigation for all employees involved in the project is required, with restrictions regarding employment history revealing sexual misconduct. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive irregularities, and award the contract in the owner's best interests. The owner is exempt from Illinois Use Tax Act and Retailer's Occupation Tax for this work. Pre-Bid Meeting date 01/30/2026 @ 1:00 P.M. Notice of Award February 19, 2026.
