The City of Maryville, Tennessee is seeking bids for pavement marking services. Firms can retrieve a copy of the invitation to bidders and plans from the City's website. The City of Maryville Engineering Department is requesting bids for pavement marking services. Pavement marking services are to include the restriping of multiple identified streets within Maryville city limits from the contract start date until Friday, June 30, 2026 and in addition, on-call restriping services as needed for a period of twelve (12) months from the contract start date. Please reference the Technical Specifications included in bidding documents for more information regarding requested services. A. The Work of this Contract comprises the general pavement marking & striping of city streets within the City of Maryville, Tennessee, as shown on the plans provided in the appendix. Work may be required during pavement resurfacing projects, or on an asneeded basis. B. Pavement Markings 1. Temporary pavement line markings on intermediate layers of pavement shall be reflectorized paint installed to permanent standards before dark hours. Short, unmarked sections shall not be allowed. 2. Temporary pavement markings will only be required on roadways classified as collector streets or higher and/or roadways with a higher AADT than 2000 vehicles per day. 3. For resurfacing projects when thermoplastic is to be used on the final surface, the contractor shall have the option of using reflectorized paint installed to permanent standards at the end of each day's work and then installing the permanent markings after the paving operation is completed. Short, unmarked sections shall not be allowed. Permanent pavement markings shall be installed within 14 days of completion of the paving project. 4. Pavement markings shall be applied only after pavement has reached a surface temperature of at least 55 degrees Fahrenheit, and pavement surfaces are clean and dry. 5. Replies will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by the Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
